This Halloween, the Loveland team has nothing scary or spooky for you. Just more easily accessible product updates.
This one is for the app developers out there who want to see our parcels flowing into your own creations: introducing our new Self-Serve API and Tiles.
You all know that we’ve had the API and Tileserver options for a while now. So what’s new, you ask? What’s new are the SELF-SERVE SaaS subs launching today. Signup by clicking on one of the options below:
No more delays. You can come signup, get a week’s trial before paying and be on your way to using either our parcel API or our tiles or both, without going through the sales cycle back & forth.
We understand that you need a faster time to market solution to evaluate & integrate into your app right away as well.
So, visit either our API page or Tileserver page or the API + Tiles Bundle page and you can sign-up for the Saas subs right there!
How does this work?
Simple 3-step process:
Step-1 - Select the right tier and solution for your requirements. Please be sure to review the price & read through the Loveland parcel schema, Coverage Report and Documentation to make sure you are getting the right set of attributes & solutions.
Step-2 - Sign-up for the solution and tier that makes most sense to your use case from our Parcel API, Tileserver and/or Bundle page.
Step-3 - Try for free for 1 week before paying - We know that you wouldn’t want to buy it without trying it. Which is why we have a check-box during signup to select a 1 week trial. Because this is self-serve, you will need to enter your credit card information during sign-up however, if you don’t like our API or tiles during the trial period, you can cancel it anytime in those 7 days and your card won’t be charged. If you like the product & don’t cancel, then billing automatically starts after day 7 and renews on a monthly basis. If you don’t select the trial, then billing starts immediately.
3 easy peezy steps and your development team is all set.
Our easy, scalable and affordable monthly plans allow you to sign up, test for free for a week and then use our service for the way you want to. We have designed a hybrid model with a fixed base price that allows you to use the service up to the limit specified. Any usage on top of the limit is subject to our affordable overage/per record pricing. So our subscriptions scale with you & your products.
Upgrades or changes to your sub:
Say a week or a month into your account, you realize you’d like to upgrade to either the premium tier or to the bundle, then let us know by emailing at email@example.com. Instead of creating a new or duplicate account, the Landgrid support team will make the changes for your existing account.
Help & Documentation:
Once you sign up, your API dashboard comes equipped with all the necessary documentation and the token you need to get started. These are meant to be self-serve subs to get you what you need faster. That said, if you have any questions or need help with using the API, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enterprise scale subs:
If you are looking for flexible API subscriptions for annual contracts or subs that account for high usage without the per record pricing, we’ve got you covered there as well. Please reach out to us at email@example.com and our sales team will get in touch with you as soon as possible and get you the subscription you need.
Well, that’s our big API update for you this month.
We have made it even easier for you to use our parcel API and/or our vector & raster tiles. Please sign up today and give us your feedback.
See you all in November.

Dear Friends of Loveland Parcel Data and landgrid.com,
A summary of updates in September of 2020 and the upcoming pipeline is below.
Key Data Stats:
- Total parcel age down by 2.6% from last month
- Average parcel age - 207 days, down from 213 last month
- Average county age - 249 days, up from 240 last month
- ~160K new parcels, 9 new counties added & 236 counties refreshed since last month.
- Total # counties refreshed in Q3 2020 - 648
General data update process - We are improving our data set export process over the coming quarter and the first stage is documenting our current method which is below.
Monthly, we update every data tier with the refreshed counties for the month, usually 100 - 300 counties per month.
Monthly, premium attribute data tiers are updated for every county in the data set, because every county's USPS related attributes have been updated for the month.
Quarterly, at the start of the calendar quarter, every data tier will have every county exported. We make improvements to the nationwide data set on a regular basis, often based on feedback from clients. Quarterly, full data set exports ensure every data tier has all of the improvements across the data set, even if the data was not refreshed directly from the county that quarter. We are working to provide an easily sharable change log for data set wide fixes, but currently give a notice to significant updates in our monthly data update emails.
This month's October data set export will be the full Quarterly export for the 4th calendar quarter of 2020, which means every data tier and county has been exported. Please see the 'verse' file for the 'last_refresh' date from the county source for any individual county.
USPS Vacancy, Residential indicators: Now updated monthly. Updated in September 2020, next update in October.
Loveland Parcel Schema - Upcoming changes
Please review the Data Dictionary below for the proposed attribute columns to add. We expect to add the Cropland Data Layer attributes to our Loveland Parcel Schema in October. We also hope to review the needed schema changes for the Census School Districts, which we expect to be 2 - 4 additional attribute columns and get those finalized, but those might be added in November.
Coverage Report: Updated for this month and available here:
For all full dataset customers, the updated data is available for download to bulk data clients in these formats: GeoPKG .gpkg (suggested), GeoJSON, Shapefile, and Postgres SQL files. In addition, this data has been updated on the landrid.com website.
If your organization uses a custom export we are updating your data at the moment and if you don’t see the latest updates, please drop us a line.
A Data Dictionary for the Loveland Standard Schema is always available here:
A machine-readable version of this list is included in the `verse` table available in all the formats above as well as CSV format for use in spreadsheets. To find the latest updates in verse, sort by 'last_refresh' and use the 'filename_stem' column to identify the file.

We also love to hear from you about which counties or regions you’d like to see us update next, as it helps inform our planning process.

After much anticipation, the new & improved Landgrid iOS app is here & it’s amazing!
Experience easy property lookup, easy picture and note taking, easy toggling of building footprints and data layers, and full integration with your Landgrid Pro account.
Read all about the new app updates here!
Android Users - We haven’t forgotten about you! This build is coming your way soon. You can still download the existing app anyway on Google Store Here to enjoy parcels on the go!
The credit for the new updates & features goes to YOU - the loyal Landgrid customers. You asked and we listened!
You wanted the Landgrid app to become the perfect extension to your web version and that’s exactly what we are bringing to you with this re-launch.
So let’s dive into the updates then, shall we?
1. Landgrid Pro on the app :
You could always look up over 147 million parcels for free on the app.
So what’s new???
You can now signup for Landgrid Pro and unlock all the pro level features & premium fields straight out of the app.
With a click of button, using Apple Pay, signing for Pro has never been easier. And you can use the same login to enjoy the web subscription of Landgrid Pro as well.
Or vice versa - you can sign up for Pro on the web and use the same login to enjoy pro features on the app.
2. Bookmark Parcels :
We’ve had the bookmarking feature on the web version for many years now but we know y’all wanted to be able to do the same on the app, on the go.
Being able to look up parcels of interest, add notes and images to those properties is now easy peezy on the app as a Landgrid Pro user.
You don’t need a survey to add additional information & insights into properties. You can just bookmark them instead. Imagine how handy this would be for property maintenance!
3. Survey Properties:
We could always survey using the Landgrid app, so what’s new you ask? Well, we’ll show you.
You can now view your surveys, associated focus areas (or should I say foci?), select them and start adding your survey responses. And all of your survey data & photos gets automatically fed in real time on your web version of Pro & above tiers.
More control and transparency into your survey.
4. Pro Map layers:
By signing up for Pro on the app, you now have access to some of the pro map layers like the amazing building footprints layer which is so useful for surveying and the elevation topo layer. We will continue to build & add more of the web version layers into the app in the next few months.
5. Unlock Premium Fields:
Did you think we were done???
Nope, like I said - this is a jam packed launch. With Pro now available on the app, you get to unlock our premium fields:
Phew… Now that’s some update on the app, don’t you think?
Oh and I almost forgot - we now have access to the Landgrid help & support site and our amazing tutorial videos linked from the app as well, in case you ever feel lost while navigating the app.
If you are a Pro user already, then download/or update the ios app from the app store today to enjoy parcels on the go.
The app can be used as a free user to look up parcels anytime. However if you wish to do more with the parcel data, then we hope the new app will compel you to sign up soon. Please be sure to give us your feedback. Like I said, we take feedback seriously and your feedback helped us build this new update on the app.
So….This was our October update. We have another product launch coming soon. Until then, please try the new app release and let us know your thoughts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
